The Indianapolis Opera Resident Artists perform annually for over 32,000 people of all ages in schools, libraries, universities, senior retirement communities, and community centers across the state.
We need your ongoing support to continue to provide arts education, our Resident Artist programming, and community outreach events.

During the 2019/2020 fiscal year, Resident Artists performed for 56,484 Hoosiers including over 5,230 students in grades K-12 in 8 counties across Indiana, in urban, suburban, and rural areas, spanning every socioeconomic class. Youth programs include 1) children’s operas with supplementary curriculum guides for pre-k through elementary-aged students, 2) vocal workshops with either choral or theatrical emphasis for middle and high school students 3) Vocal Arts Institute - a 10-day summer camp for high schoolers 4) weekly after school programming for elementary age students.
Outreach performances include “Opera at the Park” at Garfield Park; Artsgarden Garden Jams Concerts; Eskenazi Music Program Concerts; and “Sundays at the Basile” Concert Series, Master Classes, and Vocal Arts Institute all at the Basile Opera Center (BOC).
